Hi All ,
thanks for letting me join the beta there .
I have one question already , about the follow spline mode and the splines : can we use animated/deformed splines ?
I don't manage to make it work and I don't see an option for that .
thx.

| Wrong emission |

Made an ignition setup which works fine and as expected as far as ignition and spread out is concerned, however there is a not wanted emission from world 0.0.0 for the first 35 frames here I can´t explain. I set a kill modifier in case it is some wired stuff from Thinking or Xparticles, however, it doesn´t seem to be as it dies off after frame 35 - but before igniting platonic dies off as planned so no idea why there is that erratic emission...

p.s. sorry, xparticles is needed - I don´t know how to do this with pure TP ...
edit - looks like the erratic emission is present as long as the dynamic platonic is not yet on the floor. Tried to bake and resim, same result. Might be a problem with dynamic objects ....
edit 2 - looks like it is a TP or xp problem. I lifted everything up and see now there is a single TP generated for the first frames at 0.0.0 so not your job I´m afraid

| Fumefx render element not in Vray Next Frame Buffer |

I just updated to 3DS Max 2020, Vray Next 2.x, and FumeFX 5.
I am setting FumeFX Smoke as a render element in Vray Next, but it does not show in the Frame Buffer pulldown menu.
Is this associated with a problem with FumeFX or with Vray Next, or 3DS Max ?
Also, Vray crashes randomly on rendering FumeFX, I have had no problems with Tyflow or Phoenix.
The same fumefx scenes render in scanline without problem.

Tried a different setup and got it partly work only - and some problems here as well.
1) only smoke output will do an almost ( explain that next item) correct output. Fire will return 1 for all points as soon as it hits the plane points and temperature will never show anything.
2) though smoke is working, get data and vertex map wired to smoke nodes will turn yellow ( which indicates an internal error) till about frame 38 . Thereafter everything is working correctly - rather strange.

manual sais :
Free Flow - If you check this, source parameters will still influence channel values, but the source, itself, will behave just like fluid. As a result, the source's velocity will not interrupt fluid movement
in any way.
but if I look at this, there is an impact from object shape as well. From my settings I´d expect smoke just colour and nothing else ...

For me the nodes do nothing. I tried to get some fume data here and as manual says they are valid for c4d and TP, I´d expect from my understanding of expresso that I can read out data within container at the null´s position, but result nodes are all blank, not even a 0 ....
