When running the simulation if you pause it for a while, say for a meeting, FumeFX won't resume and becomes completely unresponsive until you restart c4d
Infact I've seen this behaviors when just idling the pc with out toughing it for a while

Hi,
I try doing the tutorials that come with Afterburner, I do the first one about the octane shader and as long as I don't try to render to a larger size then the default 320x240. it works fine, but the minute I up the resolution to 1920x1080 or 800x600. and hit render it crashes 3dmax to the desktop. Everytime.
So I thought the tutorial were old, so I created on from scratch... same thing render in 320x240 no problem. Change size of render... booom it crashes.
I have the latest afterburn 4.2.3 and 3dmax 2019.3.
has anyone else had this problem... or is this a known bug with the software. Any help would be much appreciated.

HI, I'm looking for some advice from those who have managed to get farther along with FumeFX than I have. The animation in the link shows promise, but I am having a difficult time art directing the flow of the steam. Essentially, I would like the steam to swirl around the burger, instead of rising straight up. I have tried turbulence, but that seems to add detail to the steam, as opposed to actually move the steam around.'
The set up is simple: I have a torus as a hidden emitter from the same area as the burger patty (more or less), and my settings are pretty close to the cigarette tutorial -- making blind changes hoping for the swirling look.
I haven't gotten into FumeFX effectors yet, and was hoping that Cinema's particle effectors could come into play. If I was using TP instead of just a temperature emitter, I suppose that those effectors would work, but they do not seem to just on their own. I have even tried adding them to the particle source, but I am not having success.
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

When I run into scenarios that do not play in realtime in the viewport, like most I make a preview (playbast). Sadly, the FumeFX display is not visible in the resulting preview file. This effectively forces me to render in order to see the simulation at speed. This should really be addressed ASAP.

Hi support,
as you can see, we have a weird spreading voxels creation, caused by the variable geometry of the caps used in sweep modifier.
I do other tests and I can say, when the mesh topology changes, rays in space was created...
Pietro.

Hello,
I'm having a tough time installing FumeFX for Cinema 4D 19.024.
I've tried installing it in 'C/C4DR19', 'C:\Program Files\MAXON\Cinema 4D R19' and 'C:\Program Files\MAXON\Cinema 4D R19/plugins' (uninstalling using Revo uninstaller each time), but no matter what it never appears in Cinema4D. When I installed it in 'C:\Program Files\MAXON\Cinema 4D R19', it appeared in 'C:\Program Files\MAXON\Cinema 4D R19/plugins' but not in the software. Some help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Szymon
