Vray - render passes
#1
Hi Smile ,

I'm new to FumeFX and need to render passes from Vray for maya.

After a bit of reading on the web. I can see I need to turn Vray to scanline rendering. However so far I can't see how to do this. Does anyone know?

I need to render the follow passes...

Zdepth
Normals
shadows

Thanks in advance ;-)

Hey JohnJoe,

as far as I know atm it is not possible to render elements/passes with the fumefx shader for vray.

You could try to plug your fumefx .f3d caches in to the VRayVolumeGrid (vray 3.0 beta).
But I think it is also not quiet there yet.

You can't switch vray to scanline. It is a raytracer.
I guess the scanline thing is meant for 3ds max (its native scanliner renderer).
