Hi,
I just bought the latest FumeFX package (Max2012 64Bit) and installed it on my workstation which happens to be a relatively powerful Dual Xeon X5650 (6-core) @2.67 GHz - 48GB Ram - Quadro4000
I started watching the tutorials and could see the performance of that thing during preview. Per frame it was very fast in the videos...
I then started by just using a FumeFX simple source and hit the preview button which opened the preview window and the solver. Unfortunately each frame took something like one and a half seconds to compute which is way too slow when comparing it with the video tutorials, where each frame took something like .3 seconds!
Ok - so to check I installed it on my second workstation (Dual Xeon E5-2630 @2.00 GHz - 32GB Ram - Quadro 4000) and it works like a charm.
Can anybody help? What could be the issue? I tried everything (Spacing, Scratch Disc to SSD, Quality settings, GPU rendering...) nothing worked...
Please!
Thanks in advance
Jürgen
