can anyone help
i have tracked some footage in boujou and transferred it over as a maxscript into max9
when i create particles and use the afterburn shader they do not render as normal - they look like translucent circles instead of the usual thick smoky particles
its defo not a matter of changing density but im a little bit stuck
any help is a great help - cheers

Foam/dynamics wake.

I have a question i've been wondering for a long time.
Say i have an island with steep hills going down into the water. Since the island is dead still. How would go forward in animating wake? In dynamics it needs a force to create wake. But in this case the force should come from the waves themselves. Possible?
regards
Jone

Dreamscape and Mental Ray

We have been using it alot at the office. We are just using the sea surface mesh, with mental ray materials. Problem is, that im missing foam alot, ive found a way to do that aswell, but it is a hassle to align the UV's.
Could i put in for a wishlist that we can get a UV tool, so we can can use what textures and materials we want in the process, and still be able to lign up the foam maps to the mesh easier. Maybe there already is a way to do it fast but i cant find it.
Cheers

FumeFX communicating progress to Deadline

I am making a fumeFX submission script for deadline 3 and was wondering if there was a way to communicate the update progress of the fume sim to deadline via the DeadlineUtil.LogMessage command
I am running the net sim as a script job so i am calling $fume.simulate(), not using the $fume.BackBurnerSim property. If this matters i can change it.
Cheers!

wishlist:creating Preview during/after sim

im thinking it would be great to have an option (like a backburner button) to create a preview automatically during/after sim.
(i feel it's quite time consuming to check the movement, when you have 10 different sims send to backburner/deadline.etc...)
will this be done by max script?
Or maybe.... im a lazy bastard :| ???
cheers!!
