Simulation stoping on frame 10!

Hi Folks,

I have a little issue with FumeFX: My simulations have been stopping at 10! It seems to happen after I've been running sims for a while so it might be running out of ram. However, it always stops on frame 10 when this happens. Once it starts happening, there's no way out that I have found. Usually I can quit and restart max and restart the sim to get around it. Another weird thing is that it's never happened before. Just started happening about two days ago.

I've attached the scene file just in case. It's just a simple scene with a plane that is using a image to emit from.

Current Machine: Max 9-SP2, Windows XP-SP2, 2.4 GHz Quad core, 3 GB ram, Nvidia Quadro FX 570

Sim just fine here, try turning off afterburn 3.2 (this doesn't happen in AB 4.0), it is generally what has caused hangups with fume for me, usually when an afterburn atmospheric crosses the path of fume or vice-versa.

I dont have max here but what is the resolution of your grid?
I've noticed some of my sims on some of my older boxes that only have 4gb of ram (I noticed you have 3) like to die after a while if the res is higher than 180~. Of course you can adjust that with the iterations and optimize things down a bit, but the more ram the better in most situations.
Try also doing garbage dumps helps free memory a little bit (not much) like gc() in maxscript listener

What type of resolution are you simming? (next to the step size in the general tab)

I have same problem two days ago.
Please cheque sequrity of the drive where you save .fxd files.

If you remove sequrity then your problem solve.

I've the same problem since yesterday with a sim res of 200, and 4GO of ram, but i never had it before.

I've no idea why...
