simulations keep stoppig

My fume fx3 sims just keep stopping for some reason.
They are not huge sims and I have enough disk space and memory.
I cannot figure this one out, and I have to use fumefx on my current job.

winxp 64 16 gig ram quadro 4000 i7 @4.2 ghz

max2012 fumefx 3.0.1

any ideas?
