Hi
I'm new to FumeFX, but for now my major problem is the preview. When I make a preview video, I can clearly see the whole FumeFX jumping around. My objects don't move, but the FumeFX is doing some Handcam stuff.
Is there a parameter I have to adjust? Or is this problem due to my old Mac (running with Linux)?
I'd be thankful for every help I can get.
Hello,
Can you please let us know what FumeFX version do you use ?
Thank you.

yes, same here. FumeFX 3.5.6
Looks like adaptive bounding box does not compute correctly. I notices that even in rendering not only in preview. Smoke randomly jumping.
agree. On bigger containers.
Only solution was for me was to create new container and connect cache to it.
Hello,
We cannot reproduce this issue, but if you have a scene and a few caches, we would appreciate if we can take a look into it.
Thank you.

sry, i totally forgot to post the solution...
kresimir tkalcec assured me, that it won't affect the final renders. the solution was to simulate without the adaptive checkbox. even if it was checked, my renders came out good. no jumping around and no flickering. but just to be sure i started simulating without the adaptive box, which of course gave me a better preview movie to judge.
the solution with creating a new container and attaching the cache is also a good solution, but is just an extra step you don't have to do, if you uncheck the adaptive from the start.
thank you for the replies!
Turn off adaptive grid in huge simulations is like to remove engine from your car. Simulation time will unbearably rise.
