I have the same issue...
Please can someone get back to us with an answer?
I just recieved an email back from Domagoj Korak, which informed me of the current situation with V-RAY and passes....
Hello Joe,
Passes are not officially supported but you can try some experimental features.
Please go to /usr/autodesk/maya2015-x64/vray/shaders/ and open FumeFX.txt
Here you will find two lines which are marked EXPERIMENTAL.
Do_deep and do_deep_vel are two parameters you can change to 1.
Do_deep is for deep z channel, and do_deep_vel is for deep velocity.
Please enable those parameters only when using deep z and velocity because they will slow down rendering.
Those parameters works only with deep EXR image format (which you can select in Render Settings).
Keep in mind that those features are not fully tested and we cannot guarantee you that it will work perfectly for you.
Please give us some feedback when you test this with your scenes.
Regards,
Domagoj Korak
