linux tests, and MR rendering black
#1
hello, we did some linux graphic cards test and found some problems with stability and mental ray rendering.

maya : 2013 SP2
drivers version : the last official ones
base test scene : a new scene with a fumeFX node and simple source

note : we've checked this post : viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1508&p=8400&hilit=black#p8400 but it doesn't help us

TEST 1:

Hardware :
intel i7-4930K CPU @3.40GHz
memory 31.4 GIB
ATI firepro V7000

Linux :
CentOs 6.5 (final)
Kernel 2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64
GNOME 2.28.2

Problems :
- fumeFx systematically crash if, when the preview render window is open, we add an effector
- fumeFx crash if we open the preview window in a scene with an effector (sometimes the crash happen only as we move the camera)

note :
mental ray rendering work fine, arnold rendering work fine

TEST 2:

Hardware :
intel i7-4930K CPU @3.40GHz
memory 31.4 GIB
quadro 4000, 256-bit, 2048 MB

Linux :
CentOs 6.5 (final)
Kernel 2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64
GNOME 2.28.2

Problems :
- mental ray render only black

note :
no more stability or crash problems, arnold rendering work fine

TEST 3:

same as test 2, exept the graphic card :
quadro 1800, 192-bit, 768 MB

TEST 4:

Hardware :
intel i7 CPU 860 @2.80GHz
memory 7.7 GIB
quadro 1800, 192-bit, 768 MB

Linux :
CentOs 6.4 (final)
Kernel 2.6.32-358.18.1.el6.x86_64
GNOME 2.28.2

Not any problems, mental ray work fine, no crash
