Im not sure of your setup, I just mean on your object/simple or particle source set the smoke amount to 0 so the only smoke that occurs is from burnt fuel.
Dont forget if you use "Fuel Creates Smoke" the density is determined by how much fuel is being burnt (source fuel amount and burn rate (assuming temp is enough to ignite the fuel)) multiplied by the "Fuel Creates Smoke" Smoke Density.
What is your source fuel amount, burn rate and "Fuel Creates Smoke" Smoke Density?
