Model in CM. should I use global scale?
#4
Hello,

Internally, DreamScape assumes that 1 3ds max unit is 1 meter and it always gets proportions in
General 3ds max units.

With scale of 0.1, all sizes will be smaller (lower atmosphere, lower clouds, etc..)., which means that camera will have a view on to a bigger world.
For example, if you put a Cloud layer at 1000 units high, and set Global Scale to 0.1, clouds will be at height of 100 units.

Assuming that you have started scene in meters, you can create a box that is 1x1x1 meters and
then convert units back to generic. New size of the box will be the scene factor that you can use as a
DreamScape Global Scale parameter. You can convert back to metric units after you read this param.

This is the easiest way, since user can also setup System units, which brings us to a complete mess with units.

I hope this helps.
