Hello,
What map do you use for a bump and what type of terrain (geometry or non-geometry) ?
As for VRay - if you can email me a scene to mailto:kresimir@afterworks.com I will take a look at it and contact Vray developers so we can work together and solve those issues. don't forget to send VRay version as well.

As for checkbox - I'm sorry that it took that long to post an update for such an imporatant bug.
