Yes, it is a shame that Cinema's TP implementation never went beyond where it is. I can only assume that there were difficulties between Maxon and Edwin Braun back in the day. I recall Edwin being quite a handful during those years (referring more to the 3ds max community, as I know nothing of his interactions with Maxon and I am just speculating).
One of the things I was hopeful for when I switched to Cinema was that I could continue to use TP as well. I was quite disappointed when I learned that the version in Cinema as so out of date.
Would love to see the relationship thaw and TP get the upgrade that it deserves in Cinema. I'm not holding my breath, however.
