Might be a stupid question, but why does fume crash when dropping the spacing?
I have 12 Gigs of ram, 64 bit windows, the sim only get up to 88 megs per frame (as the info says)
I want a super hi res simulation, how do i get it?

Some scene would really help and info about FumeFX version, OS, max, etc..

Sorry for the vauge question, it just seems to always happen when you push the spacing smaller. enough, i thought there might be an obvious answer. I should know better.
So i tried to clean out the scene of everything except fume and see if it crashed and it didn't (I never let the sim finish, but it seems to go much further) So im thihnking it's a problem with the geometry that the fume is interacting with.
Im running on a 8 core cpu, windows vista64, 12 gig ram.
Fume fx version is 1.2b
3dsmax 2010 with the hotfix
Enclosed is the file. Load it up, sim the fume and it crashes to the desktop

Also, please update to FumeFX 1.2d as that is the latest version.

It seems to crash for me in the first 2 frames.
If I remove the geometry from fume fx, it seems to start simulating no problem. (I'll get updated to 1.2 d this week.)

Just wanted to remind you that the FumeFX_PF.dlo still installs to the optional folder and throws an error on startup. moving it to the fume folder fixes the problem, but makes updating a pain in the ass for 50 machines.

PF.dlo has to go to the optional folder to make sure that it loads after FumeFX.
This is provided with plugin.ini file, where AfterWorksOptional has to be listed after FumeFX line.
I have checked installer here many times and it went fine.
Do you still maybe have one original plugin.ini file (prior to fumeFX installation) that
will have AfterWorks Optional line added to the wrong place ?
