Fire shadow - Alpa24 - 06-24-2008 Hi, I am very new to fume fx just purchace from few days ago. I want shadow of fire on its near object.I get reflection but cant get shadow. How can i make this ? Thanks Re: Fire shadow - sitnisati - 06-24-2008 Hello, Fire do not cast shadows in FFX, but it will cast light if you use a fR or VRay (and soon mental ray) that supports GI. Regards, Kresimir Re: Fire shadow - ddiener - 06-26-2008 * ddiener jumps, laughs and smiles. "Mental Ray soon..." ? Thank you
Re: Fire shadow - bdemetz - 06-26-2008 Any chance fire shadow casting can be added? I've seen fire casting shadows, blocking light from a bright light source nearby - the last time I roasted marshmellows anyway.
Re: Fire shadow - ddiener - 06-27-2008 Create a PFlow that follows/matches the fire. Set it to not visible to camera, but casting shadows. With some tweaking it should work. Re: Fire shadow - bdemetz - 06-27-2008 Now that's what I call ingenuity. Thx for the tip.
