Velocity Channel Units??

Got a question about the SDK for reading the file format:

In the velocity channel, what are the units for the values? It doesn't appear to be units/sec, and the values are not normalized for the volume length.

Nevermind, got it. Its in voxels per frame.

hmm.. it really shouldn't be voxels per frame, as velocity is in the same units we get from 3ds max.

I know other software having velocity calculated per second in max, so I'm curious.
