light below horizon - aldred2 - 05-27-2005 Am I missing a setting? I get zero light and a black sky when the sun is lower than the horizon (or the light is lower than its target). thanks mark - aldred2 - 05-29-2005 Ah. I need to set 'real earth'. mark - aldred2 - 05-29-2005 Which works to some extent, but is giving me this result when I take the sun below the horizon .... ![]() The sun above the horizon looks like this .... ![]() .... there's a couple of meshes to either side of the camera and an adaptive SeaSurface in front of the camera. It's rendered using the FinalRender fisheye. What do you reckon? The line appears even if I hide all the scene geometry, and with the scanline renderer with a regular max camera. thanks mark - sitnisati - 05-30-2005 Hi, What you see, when Sun is below horizon, could be due to the Earth's shadow. If I'm right, then this line should move across the sky when Sun moves up/down. Let me know if this makes sense. Kresimir - aldred2 - 05-30-2005 Hi Kresimir Yes, it moves across the sky. Must be the shadow. How can I get rid of it? thanks mark - sitnisati - 06-02-2005 I'm affraid that you cannot get rid of it, as it is the property of 'Realistic Earth+Reddening' model the same way as you have shadows with normal lights. You can move Sun up a little bit if that helps. Regards, Kresimir - aldred2 - 06-03-2005 Thanks. It would be nice if in the next version this was removed. mark |
