AB & opacity question - mnarlock - 01-01-2006 Folks, I'm attempting to model an object entering the atmosphere. I'm using pflow with AB + explode daemon that achieves, essentially, the desired result. However, I'd like the trail end of the generated smoky trail to dissipate. Can this be achieved with AB? Essentially, I'm looking for an opacity map I guess based on particle age. It seems the only control AB gives is over the noise parameters. Am I missing something? Thanks. - sitnisati - 01-04-2006 Hello, You can use Density AFC to fade fire/smoke density towards the particle end. If initial density is very big, it won't be easy to create smooth dissipation in just a few frames. If Density AFC does not work, you can also try to use threshold parameter. Regards, Kresimir - mafx - 05-07-2006 is there a chance of a sample file for this issue. I have tried this with dust from a box dropping and mine looks like rubbish as the dust just disappears, no fade it just turns off. Any help with some details would be GREAT ![]() Thanks. S. |
