Dreamscape and Brazil - yaomingtsai - 07-23-2005 HI I get the following assertion error when rendering a max scene with a DS sun and Brazil light turned on: In File: 'Explode.CPP' Line 2371 Splutterfish claims this is not part of their code. Could this be dreamscape? Max crashes after this error occurs. Thanks - hometime - 07-27-2005 Is this only when rendering multiple frames or for single frames as well? This looks like the same type of error we used to get when rendering multiple frames with the Final Render renderer back before the issue was addressed. One fix then was to disable the "Multi-threading" selector in the your Max preferences. There was some sort of conflict with how DS and FR handled their multi-threading. Could be the same type of thing with Brazil, though I haven't heard of it before. If you're still having a problem with it, try writing support at turbosquid, they may have some more information for you. Posting here is good too. - yaomingtsai - 07-27-2005 Hi, Your hunch is correct. I did some digging at Cebas' forum and found exactly what you mentioned and figured it was a similar issue with Brazil. In Brazil one should specify how many threads to use instead of using the "Use all procs" setting to avoid generating the explode.cpp error. Thanks for the reply. Richard - hometime - 07-27-2005 So now you are able to render without the crashing? Hopefully!
