More Arnold problems - 3DNZ15 - 07-28-2015

Hey guys - everything was working great until today. Nothing has changed on my system. I ran a default sim, a wavelet sim on a basic object and Arnold is not rendering.

My licenses are in order, I get no errors, my light is attached in the FumeFX Relationship Manager, and my GPU render looks great!

I've been rendering fine with Arnold for a while now, and all of a sudden it stopped working for no reason. I haven't updated anything.

I tried reinstalling the FumeFX Arnold Shader and that didn't work either. This is what I'm getting:

A flat shaded unusable render with an alpha channel.

PLEASE HELP! I need this for a current project I'm working on!

Found the problem - for some reason I needed to put the light radius on the Arnold tab to 2, and double the normal exposure. Now I'm getting a render.

Not sure why these settings had to change. I've been using a consistent preset setup and now this scene is different.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Exposure should be increased by default and it's been always like that.
As for the light radius - we didn't change anything so not sure what have happened.

I noticed there were a few things different about this current scene I had. There was a scale on the camera an image plane.

Camera scale never affected the previous renders, but I changed back to 1 and removed the image plane. That seems to have been the issue, not the radius. Thought I'd share.

Cheers

Thank you for the information.
It's good to knoaw that camera scale can mess up the render.
