does force affect the simulation in "Default" Advection ? - catchyid - 06-04-2015 Hi, I initially thought that in order for a force to effect a simulation, the advection type must be set to "Field" or "Field and Vel", however I've tested a scene with "Default" advection type and I can see the effect of the force?! If so, does FumeFX by default set advection type to "Field" when a field is attached to FumeFX node? Just another question : when we set advection type to "Field", what that really means: take forces into account when doing fluid simulation, right? Thanks, Re: does force affect the simulation in "Default" Advection - sitnisati - 06-16-2015 Hello, Those are just two different types of advection, but essentially they do the same task.
