Wavelet over Initial state simulation - Bandu - 10-17-2013 Hi, I think I must be doing something wrong I have a simulation of 30 frames, than I use the frame 30 as initial state for another simulation, all good so far. But if I start wavelet simulation on top I see nothing. The caches are there and they are big, unfortunately nothing render at all in steps 1: run a sim of 30 frames (default cache) 2: take frame 30 of sim 1 as initial state for sim 2 3: run sim 2 (defauls cache) ALL good 4: run wavelet of sim 2... big caches, no smoke render Thanks for any help! Re: Wavelet over Initial state simulation - sitnisati - 10-18-2013 Hello, That won't work properly as wavelet simulation requires that it is computed from the original simulation. Initial state in your case misses first 30 frames of the original simulation. Regards, Kresimir Tkalcec Re: Wavelet over Initial state simulation - Bandu - 10-18-2013 I see... so if I simulate wavelet on the first 30 frames I would have an initial state for a wavelet simulation? I have found a solution for my problem, I just change sim settings on frame 31 and let continue the simulation run with the new settings. Is the same as initial state if I look closely thanks Bandu Re: Wavelet over Initial state simulation - sitnisati - 10-19-2013 Hello, Yes, you can set key on FumeFX params on frame 31 and it will pick them up. Wavelet applies sources again and from the caches it reads velocities and pre-computed wavelet data only. I hope this helps. Regards, Kresimir Tkalcec |
