Fume Simulation issues - RobotGilardi - 08-05-2011 I added a mesher for debris to my explosion in fumefx, and the simulation freaks out. Everything looks fine until all the other sources die off. Is there a specific setting i'm missing? I incresed iterations to 300, quality to 10, CFL to 10, sim steps to 3, and no luck. Preview attached Re: Fume Simulation issues - Jordan - 08-07-2011 i think you will find this is an issue with pflow and changing particle count. When one particle is deleted or gets moved to another even it changes the the order in which the mesh is built so fumeFX gets told that the mesh is flicking around a lot. EG. Particle 1 creates face 1, particle 2 creates face 2, Particle 3 creates face 3. If you delete particle 2, Particle 3 would now create face 2 so fumeFX would just think particle 3 had been removed and particle 2 moved to where particle 3 is. This created a lot of random velocities. Gotta love Pflow ![]() The solution would be to make sure the particle count dosent change and there is only one event. Re: Fume Simulation issues - RobotGilardi - 08-08-2011 Lame. Thanks, moving the mesh particles to another event was causing my problem =( |
