Authorizing Simulation Version!?
#1
How do i do it? I've been reading through the whole forum. The way I registered FumeFX on the workstation was basicly making a fumeFX grid. If it isnt licensed, it will splash the authorize menu in your face, and then you authorize it.

How do i do that on a standalone node that is going to assist in simulation? There isn't anything in the helpfile, on this forum, or inside max saying anything about it!
Some on the forum said. "Oh yes you authorize it same way you do with FumeFX.. Or through DCPflics.. well.. HOW ?

Im not a stupid man!! I Rebuilt a boot sector for VISTA from scratch! And i cant Authorize your SL installation.

frustrated.

Hello,

It depends if you want to install it as a floating license, so you can use it on any workstation... or;
Your node is a standalone /not connected to internet/, in which case you can authorize it manually.

Any way you choose, please check procedure in DCPFLICS documentation (DCPFLICS.chm).

thanks for quick reply.

I've managed to autorize my Simulation licenses. Keeping them all on the same place. Now its just link the node to the computer keeping the lisence.

in the dcpflics.chm it sais:

Once you have installed your plug-in, launch 3ds max.
Open the plug-in's interface. For more details on how to do this please check plug-in's online help file.
When you first access your new plug-in, the following DCPFLICS dialog will show up:

Simulation install doesnt have an interface that I know of!. ?

Actually, SL version does have interface.
You can run simulation through it, but cannot alter parameters.
