Any Luck Installing to 2016
#1
Has anyone had any luck installing Fume+(AB and other Afterworks plugins) to Max 2016? If so, can you share secrets on it? I know there is only an installer for Fume so far... but since 2016 generally allows 2015 plugins, I was hoping someone figured out how to get them to work on 2015. When I copied the Afterworks plugins over from 2015, it doesn't work correctly (there are errors).

Found my own answers. Had to manually set the plugin directories in the plugins.ini file. I also think it may be necessary to link to the afterworks/common folder in the plugins list before any of the others.

So as of today I have Fume/AB/DS/Enlight/ScatterVL all running in Max 2016. Not ran extensively, but at least they are currently running without errors.

Hi Shawn,

Internally, we do not have plugins installed under 2016, but we're pulling the from 3ds max 2015 by setting appropriate paths inside the plugin.ini.
However, you will need to have AWUtils.dll inside the 3ds max root folder and VoxelFlow.dll and shader under the appropriate mental ray folders.

Thank you.
