Well, since release is really close I will just name some new features:
- Wavelet Turbulence
- Retimer
- Final Grid trimming (size minimization)
- FumeFX can be source to another FumeFX
- Multiple objects support for Object Source
- AfterBurn-like controls for Particle Source
- Void Source that deletes all channels inside/outside specific region (causes grid to shrink as you want it)
- Modifier that affects object's Vertex Color channel based on FumeFX values
- Preview Window output path and codec selection
- Added even better MXS support
I hope that you'll like what's been added to it.

Thank you.
New features should add more flexibility to the workflow and
there are few more to come for ver. 2.5.

I hope "soon" is before Easter ??
But seriously.
I'm just setting up a new studio - should I wait with buying FumeFX for a couple of weeks?
I'd say that you're on the safe line to qualify for free 1.2->2.0 upgrade if you purchase it.
As a side note - we'll soon have FumeFX 2.0 mental ray shader for Linux as well !

Kresimir
Sounds great!
Who exactly will qualify for free upgrade? I bought 1.2 6 months ago...
That is still to be decided, but it could be February 1st 2010.

I was wondering for the retimer feature, will this be kind of a slowmotion event? And is there a release date coming soon?
Can wait for that version!!,
thanks
With Retimer, you can do slow motion and fast forward at user defined, animatable, rates.
I am planning to release it within two weeks, and I hope there won't be any critical issues along the way.
