great feature added, however not seeing it very much. maxed at a duration of 2 frames i would expect the mblur to cross frame positions, however it looks to only have an mblur duration of about .25. i'm using scanline renderer. thanks!
Hello,
Scanline will not work very good with built in motion blur.
If you have VRay give it a try - it will look better.

thanks! unfortunately i just tried with vray and am seeing no motion blur at all.
Hello,
Please check attached file - I hope this helps.

hi Kresimir,
thanks for the scene. i tried it out and couldn't get any noticable motion blur. an a/b only showed some slight difference in the pixels with mblur on and off. this was both in max2012 and 2015. it does seem to blur the fire more than the smoke however not matching 2.0 frame duration - more like about .25-.5.
It is there - it's only that you expect to see motion blur that matches the one from geometry but keep in mind that this is the fluid where not all velocities point into the same direction.
Attached is a bit different scene where most velocities point into the same direction plus render output.

thanks very much for the new scene. attached is my A/B which is definitely different from yours. i didn't change anything - just opened the scene, simmed, and rendered with Fumefx mblur on and then off. the preview window looks right however the render doesn't. i'm running vray 2.5 on this box. thanks!
I used VRay 3 for testing, so maybe that causes the difference?

Hello,
Just wanted to let you know that FumeFX 4.0.1 will be out soon and it will support a proper motion blur with mental ray as well, no only with VRay.
