It appears that the VRAY GI Multipler for fire also affects the rgb opacity of the flames themselves (even with GI turned OFF in the renderer). Since it defaults to 5.0, it results in extremely blown out fire renders unless you change it to 1.0. At 0.0 the fire is completely black/transparent in the RGB (alpha is still correct). I assume this is not how it was intended.
