Well i sure notice that the more memory the merrier for the sims, i work with only 16 GB, it does the trick most of the time but you do need to be creative to optimize simulation time, lots of partitioning required, and you want to avoid FFX to start writing to your disk using virtual memory when choking on the RAM, it's an absolute killer, especially if you work on network drive like i do :$ it will crank up your sim time insanely. My advise, buy a LOT of RAM, and a lot of fast local storage drives, too often my sims get slowed down by the time it taes to write large sim files onto the disks (sometimes several gigs per frame!).
