that seems to be an alternative that I tried, I added a kill particle after certain age on the particle flow, generate the particles, run the fumefx sim, then turn off the kill particles and re-generate the particles.
the minor issue is the smoke feels like it cuts off instead of fading out but I might be able to work with it.
but I'm having trouble understanding the AFC graph, when I set it to work with particle age, the graph has numbers 0 to 1.10 on the left side, and on the bottom it goes 0 to 100. Where is the frames for the particle age? I get bottom left is one value and top right is another value, I just don't get where the time value is. if its the 0 to 100 part, how do you change the time?
