FumeFX src source problem...

Maybe you remenber me , big fan of your products since the beginning ...i've a problem with the ffx source wich is really what i need to add black dust in a pyroclastic dome . The helper works , that's ok , but when i want to set free the secondary smoke by setting the "read" to "set" , the calculation works but only in a little box in the middle of the entire ffx container .... i see that Inside this little area , it works , the smoke is emited by the primary and move with the Wind but , can't fill the space ....that's weird...or i'm wrong with my setup ... ...?

Sure I remember you and I'm very glad to "see" you again !
Regarding the FumeFX Source - make sure that you have set its size properly as it operates only within its boundaries.
If that does not help, please post a scene so that I can take a look.

Thanks for your reply Kresimir , i've sent you a quick test scene on the support Email of sitni sati ...still emit in a box with smoke on "set" 1.0 ... ...i don't know why.

Hello,

If the smoke is set to "set" then the whole FumeFX source behaves as the Simple Source of the box shape and fills its shape with the smoke... so the sim you've sent me looks okay in that regard (unless I'm missing something).

ok thanks , i see , so if i set it to "read" the new smoke looks like the primary one , i just want to emit from the primary and then escape with the Wind....for the moment , set to "read" : the smoke follow the first one and don't seem to be free just after the birth. How can i set free this new smoke ?

Currently this is not possible as FumeFX source reads and sets from source grid to destination grid all the values, even if they are zero. You can make it smaller to encompass the source only and the wind will be able to work then.
