Hi,
i´m trying to animate a submarine that is going down.
But when i´m using the "use dynamics" my keys are away and the submarine is sinking down.
How can i animate some wakes with foam and animate my object , too?
when i don´t use the dynamics, there are wakes, but no foam.
In the example of the boat, how it is made, that the boat is floating along the sea? When i use the same parameter my submarine is going down.
Can somebody help me , please?
in the tutorial with the ball, it is shortly explained that you should animate some keys before the simulation, but it didn´t worked. and i don´t understand why you should animate some keys before the anmation when the animation is f.e. 100 keys later???

Hello Eva,
What version of DreamScape do you use ?
With DreamScape 2.5, there are few Dynamics Daemon video tutorials that could explain you this process in detail.
If you do not need to use dyanmics, you simple uncheck that option, and hand animate your boat.
There will still be foam and wakes, but DS Dyna won't affect object's motion anymore.

Hi Kresimir,
thanks for your help.
I use dreamscape version 2.5.
the video tutorials don´t help me, i have done it like in the video but no result.
When i uncheck the use dynamics option, i can animate my submarine and there are wakes ,but no foam!!!
When i check the use dynamics option, the problem is that the submarine is sinking down, i try to reduce the mass but there is only a little effect.
I try to animate a simple box in a new scene, it is working good that the box is floating, but it is difficult to animate like in the example where the boat is turning.
When i use the same parameters from the box to the submarine, the submarine doesn´t float.
I read that the object must be close and solid. Perhaps that´s the problem.
But i don´t know how to check and solve this problem.
on the referende guide, there is an explication, but i don´t understand it well, i try it , but no success.
"NOTE: Objects for which you want to initially have velocity and rotation will need to have one key set before the Start Frame and a second key set at the Start Frame. So if you want to have an object animated from frames 1 to 10 via keyframes, you'd set the Start Simulation spinner value to frame 10. That way, the Dynamics daemon has two keyframes to interpolate the object's motion prior to applying the physics engine to it directly."
I hope you can help me.

...
how big should the dynamics field be? like the sea surface?
My object is very small. should i reduce some options apart from the mass?
in the video tutorial, there is a ball falling into the water, that´s not what i want. and there is no tutorial for floating a boat, only the example.
thanks in advance.

hi,
i succeed.
I use the option without the dynamics.
I animate my u-boot and first , there is no foam,
but then , i reduce the amount of creation threshold ( foam, from wake and from object).
And now there is foam, i must play with some options to make it nicer.
Do you have some tips for me about the foam options?
Thanks again.
Greetings
Eva
Hello,
It takes some tweaking to create nice foam from moving objects as it depends on the scene.
For the Dynamics Daemon, try to make it as small as possible to enclose object's path and wakes as well. This way it will calculate faster and will utilize less memory.
