Fumefx Partitioner
#1
Hi,
Do we have a partitioner in case of fumefx container having a huge length. there was a script from scriptspot which i used to use it earlier on previous versions of 3dsmax for fumefx partioning, which dont work currently. Or is there any other approach.

Hello,

There are no other scripts that will do partitioning as I am aware of.
Do you have long irregular path so you want to split simulations?

Hi Kresimir,
Thanks for the response. I had simulated with just the basic setup.

Well i had a straight path with truck moving through the camera , kicking the dust from the tyre. tried to use nesting, but since it was one straight path, i skipped it. It worked with just the increased length, though it took time. added the velocities in channel, incase asked for higher details through WT.

Hello,

If you have a long trail and camera is moving as well, then you can animate the FumeFX grid movement as well and use the "Use Grid Motion" option (https://docs.afterworks.com/FumeFX6max/Simulation_1.htm).
This would shift the grid content in the direction of the grid movement keeping the grid minimum as needed.
