Hello Jesse,

We are currently working on FumeFX 6.5 update that will bring real-time PBD liquids to 3ds max and we plan to release max 2025 support along with it.

Thanks for the update, Kresimir! Just to clarify, will the FumeFX 6.5 update with real-time PBD liquids be compatible with all versions of 3ds Max, or will it be limited to specific versions? Also, do you have an estimated release date for this update? I'm particularly interested in how this might affect performance in larger scenes.

Hello,

FumeFX 6.5 will be for 3ds max 2020 up to 2025 and we will drop the max 2019 support.
We are getting closer to release, so it is going to happen this month.
PBD liquid is real-time (from a few FPS to 10FPS) for simpler scenes on RTX 4090, and with few million of liquid and foam particles sim can get to few seconds a frame.
Once all the frames are in the memory caching, you can scrub the time slider in real time.
Best regards,
