MtoA compatible versions - FumeFX5.0.6 - Maya 2020
#1
I seem to be experiencing a conflict when trying to use the plugin combo specified in the subject.

I get this warning when I try running mtoa 4.0.3 (which uses Arnold 6.0.3.0)

Quote:WARNING |  FumeFXShader.dll was compiled against non-compatible Arnold 6.2.0.1

The minimum requirements are specified as such,

Quote:Munimum requirements:
- FumeFX 5.0.4 for Maya
- Arnold 5.2

Is there a max requirement?  Has FumeFX been tested with newer versions of mtoa?  Our floor version of mtoa is 5.2 and complains even louder about the incompatibility.

Quote:00:00:13  1438MB WARNING | [mtoa] Error loading extension library: The specified procedure could not be found.
00:00:13  1438MB ERROR  | [mtoa] Call to initializeExtension failed on extension library FumeFXExtension(//phoenix/Tools/Pipeline/Apps/Maya/2020/Windows/modules/FumeFX/extensions/arnold/FumeFXExtension.dll).

Can I get some guidance as to the latest mtoa version compatible with FumeFX?

Thank you,
Tom

Hello Tom,

Each FumeFX version is built for particualr Arnold version and compatibility is listed inside your members area account under Maya installer download.
FumeFX 5.0.5 is the closted one to be compatible with that Arnold version.
