sorry if that information is somewhere listed in the documention but how can i export a VDB-Sequence? ( for rendering in octane or redshift)

Just change the FumeFX cache extension to .vdb and it will save to vdb format.

When you open the cache folder, is the cache with exactly that name present ?
Try rename even when export. Not when aready exported.

yes these are the original cachefiles, created with your tutorial-03. i only renamed the whole .fxd-sequence with a batchprogramm.

under general/paths renaming the cachefile-extension to .vdb before simulating works.
now octane finds the different gridinformations in the vdb-file
