Hello,

We are working closely with Chaosgroup on the FumeFX-VRay-Maya shader.
They had to add some code for us to support FumeFX/Maya and we're getting closer to the shader release.

Thank you.

Hello,

We'll be sending beta next. There is a slight delay as we had some issues with Z-depth, but at the end it seems like it's a VRay bug.

Yes, the beta is open to anyone with FumeFX for Maya and VRay.

Hello,

Can you please check in FumeFX about box that the version is 3.5.3 - you've should have installed that version as well ?
Also, here are the VRay shader files install locations:
/vray/shaders/FumeFX.txt
/vray/vrayplugins/vray_FumeFX.dll

Please let me know.

Hi Kresimir,

I was able to find the problem thx to Domagoj and support team, for some reason I have re-install fume with 3.5.2 instead of 3.5.3,

I must say also, fumefx with vray works perfect, great job guys

Is this a beta version of 3.5.3 to test with Vray then?

Yes, the 3.5.3 is the only build that works with FumeFX-VRay shader.
Also, VRay 2.45 is a minimum too, but the current build will not work with VRay 3.

heyho,

works nicely for me here too.
Just one question. Is there a way to produce a render element which serves as a mask for the fire and/or smoke?

Thanks a lot

There is no support for Render Passes at the moment, but we will have it done for the next version.

Thank you.

Hello,

As far as i know it does, at least with Phoenix.

I guess it's something specific to their shaders.
We can do it for FumeFX if we get a proper feddback support from Vlado and Chaosgroup.

I will ask him if this is possible then.

Thank you.
