Afterflics Excessive CPU Usage |

Something that has been happening regularly for the last few years is that Afterflics uses up 25% of my server CPU continuously. When this happens I have to kill Afterflics in taskmanager and restart the service manually.
Any chance to get an update that might address this? Not sure if others are having this issue.

C4D R25 Crashing when starting simulation using custom object |

I'm very new to FumeFX, and I'm experiencing C4D R25 crashing each time I try to run a (VERY basic) simulation using a simple cone object, or any custom model for that matter. A sphere and cube seem to work, but not what I'm needing.
Are there any known limitations at this point using custom objects?
Specs:
OS X 11.6.1
C4D R25.117

A few Dreamscape Defects |

I added DS to a project I'm working on in 3ds Max 2022.3. I noticed some issues in order of importance:
- Max crashes when using DS in VRay if you cancel a render but hit the Render button again in the VRay VFB. To avoid the crash, you need to cancel with the Max render dialog stop button, then close the VRay VFB--now you can render without a crash. This may be a Vray defect instead, but I've only seen this defect in Vray with DS scene.
- When adding a Dreamscape Sky or Subsurface Atmospheric effect, the effect name is missing them the effects list. You can manually add the name in the name field, but the user should not have to do this.
- DS Scene nodes are given a Baseobject name of "Object" in the modify tab instead of the class name they get in previous versions. This relates to some localization changes made in recent versions of Max's SDK. I will give a hint on fixing them when I'm back in front of code this week.

About Movement control by barometric pressure change |

Hello.
Is there any way to reproduce the movement of smoke due to air pressure?
For example, is there a way to create a vacuum in a certain area and have the smoke flow into it?
If you set the Normal Velocity of Geometory Sauce to a negative value in the curve editor, you can make it look like smoke is being sucked into an arbitrary object. However, since this is not a change in air pressure, the smoke will be sucked in forever.
Instead, we want the air to flow into the depressurized area so that the air movement stops when the entire grid becomes uniform in pressure. In other words, I want to reproduce the air movement caused by Pascal.
If I can represent this air pressure, then I can represent the slipstream that occurs when the car moves.
If there is a good way to reproduce the above, please let me know.
I'm not sure if the concept of air pressure is included in FFX in the first place, but if not, I'd like to know if it will be in the future.
Thank you.

About System Scale |

Hello.
In FumeFx, you can control the System Scale with a script, but I don't quite understand the impact of this operation, so I'd like to ask for your help.
Is it the "unit" of the system that is changed by System Scale?
--In the case of Spacing
When the spacing is 1cm, 1voxel is formed by the following equation.
1(voxel)=1cm*1cm*1cm=1cm^3
If the System Scale is 0.1, does 1voxel become as follows?
1(voxel)=0.1cm*0.1cm*0.1cm*=0.001cm^3
--In the case of Velocity
In the case of Velocity is 1cm/s, if System Scale is 0.1, velocity will be 0.1cm/s?
--In the case of smoke density
If you change the System Scale, will the density of the smoke be as follows? The unit is not specified in the user guide, so I am guessing. Is this the correct unit?
If the amount of smoke is 1mg (mass) and 1 voxel is 1cm^3, then the density of smoke is 1mg/cm^3.
If the System Scale is set to 0.1
1(voxel)=0.1cm*0.1cm*0.1cm*=0.001cm^3
Therefore, the density of the smoke is as follows
1(mg)/0.001(cm^3) = 1000 (mg/cm^3)
This means that the density of smoke is 1000 times higher when the system scale is 0.1 than when the system scale is 1. (When the system scale is set to 0.1, the smoke becomes surprisingly dense.)
--Difference from Time Scale
Please tell me the difference between System Scale and Time Scale.
I'm sorry for asking so many questions. I would appreciate it if you could answer my questions.

FumeFX on Mac M1 chip running Monterey OS in C4D R25 |

Hi. I've purchased a new Mac computer which comes with Apple's new M1 chip architecture and runs latest Apple OS- Mac Monterey 12.1. I've had some trouble running a couple of other 3rd-party plugins, so thought I'd ask this question before installing. Will FumeFX run as a native plugin (ie: coded for M1 chip) within C4D R25 (also running native- NOT running under Rosetta simulation)? I can't run C4D under Rosetta as that crashes some other plugins. Thanks for the information.
