Foam and wake from a pillar

Hi All,
I'm trying to generate some reflected waves and foam from a pillar in the middle of a water surface. While I can obtain wakes and foam from a floating object (setting the physics etc.), I can't obtain anything from the pillar. I set the "object is unyielding" property, if I correctly understood that should generate the effects I need. Can anyone help me? Is there any sample file to look at?
Thanks in advance,
Enrico

AB & opacity question

Folks,
I'm attempting to model an object entering the atmosphere. I'm using pflow with AB + explode daemon that achieves, essentially, the desired result. However, I'd like the trail end of the generated smoky trail to dissipate. Can this be achieved with AB? Essentially, I'm looking for an opacity map I guess based on particle age. It seems the only control AB gives is over the noise parameters.
Am I missing something?
Thanks.

network render problem

Hi guys!
I am getting some strange jittering in my Afterburn Effects everytime I´m doing a network render. Here´s an example:
http://www.dimo3d.info/jitter.mov
When I`m using just one machine, everything´s allright. The render clients are totally identical. I also tried different particle systems (spray, parray, tp) but there´s always the same jittering effect happening. I´m using max7(service pack 1) and Afterburn 3.2.
If anyone knows how to fix this: Please tell me!
Thanks!

Terra UI Problems

This may seem simple but I'm at a loss.
One of my artists terra editor UI does not show the entire right portion of the interface. So the tool is almost useless to her. I've removed and re-installed 3DS and Dreamscape to no avail. Does anyone know how to reset the UI?
I've tried replacing the 3DS UI with my own and still the Terra Editor does not reset to where you can see the spinners for the erosion or weathering.
Any input or help would be great!!
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
My coworker and I have found a bug in seascape.
Bug Description:
-------------------------------------
Adaptive mesh Sea surface does not update properly when using "camera map binding(wsm)' modifier.
Steps to Reproduce:
-------------------------------------
1. Create an Adaptive sea-surface and camera in max 8.
2. Animate the camera rotating 180 degrees.
3. Apply a "camera map binding(WSM)" to the sea surface.
2. move time slider to random frames (do not scrub)
3. Select Sea Surface material
4. Disable the camera map modifier
5. move time slider to random frames
Observations:
-------------------------------------
The adapative sea surface does not update properly when the camera map modifer is applied. The sea surface will generate properly when the timeslider is scrubbed to sequential frames, but not when the time slider is moved to a random frame without scrubbing. This causes network rendering to fail.
I have emailed a file for you to look at, that is already set up.

Sky colour/brightness change on render?

If I render out my scene just as a single frame test render, the sky looks spot on. As soon as I render it out to a targa sequence, the sky changes brightness and becomes extremely bright, bordering on white and far too much glare. Anyone else had this problem? I cannot find a solution, and its totally annoying me!
I'm using Max 7 and DS 2.5.
cheers

I've got an ocean scene that is rendering different levels of brightness on the objects. I've tried both area and normal shadows with the sunlight...even rendering just on my local machine and the flickering still happens. I'm using 2.5 on an XP platform. Any ideas?

Dynamics Trouble

I am having repeated issues with the Dynamics Daemon. I understand the object needs to be closed so I have resorted to using primitives such as spheres and boxes as the collider objects. Sometimes the objects work and sometimes they don't. Other times an object will work and then will stop working.
I am trying to create a convincing wake for a large ship that is 624' long. The ship is built to scale and I have tried several different proxy objects to represent the hull.
Thanks,
