New installers in ZIPs - POLL
#1
Would it be possible and also who would like to have additional installers for the plugins in a form of a ZIP archive?

Most of us on these forums are tech savy enough to know where the plugin files go, and some of us are TDs at our studios and we would really like that.
Right now with each update of the plugin I have to install it on a machine that doesn't even need it in some false 3ds Max folder, copy the plugin files, uninstall the plugin and copy the plugin files into a shared directory for all machines in our studio.

If I could download a zip file with just the plugin files (no help, no scene files) - it would download instantaneously, and my work would consist basicaly of two clicks Smile

I'm guessing that you guys at Sitni distribute the versions internally in exactly this way so it shouldn't be a problem for you, right?

+1 vote for manual installs. I don't so much mind installers, just sometimes it is easier to do it by hand, especially when it comes to updates. That said, Orbaz came up with a great update tool, it simply checks for current plugin version then updates your choice of max versions. One updater can take care of all of your supported max installations.

Hello,

You can already download manual installation rar packages from our members area.
I guess that you haven't noticed them.

Oh crap !!! Smile))))
When did this happen Smile))

Are you that quick or should I be embarrased?

I still looked for it for a while - my first scan disregarded the link as being the Help and reference files installer Smile

Kreso - I totally love your company Smile

Hey, thanks Smile
Rar files are there for quite some time, but you're not the first person that haven't noticed them.
I guess that links could use bigger font Smile
