FumeFX 1.2e testers required
#1
Hello,

FumeFX 1.2e is done and it fixes:

- Thinking Particle 3.0 SP 2 3ds max loading issue
- shadows issue with two or more FumeFX grids in the scene.

Anyone who have experienced those issues, please contact me at kresimir@afterworks.com if you're willing to test
FumeFX 1.2e before it gets released.
That way we'll make sure that issues metioned above are solved for as many platforms as possible.

Thank you.

I just installed 1.2E and when i do a render with mental ray i get this error.
PHEN 0.3 error 051010: version mismatch: "fume FXMR_version" reports version 2, declaration specifies version 1

Now when I down loaded 1.2E I did not get any update file to replace out the file that I manually had to install into folders in Max like in the mental ray folder when I first installed fume fx. was I suposed to get some new files?

Hello,

Did you get the latest install from the mmbers area ?
It's a complete installer, and you have to de-install old version first.

Yes I got the install from members area
yes I uninstalled fume fx program and also deleted out all files in plug in folder and in mental ray folder.
When I did reinstall of fume fx I see all the files that I deleted are now back in place with out having to manually install them. Is this new? if so great job.
I am still getting the mental ray message saying there is a version mismatch.
So what do I do to fix this?

Hello,
Not sure - earlier installers also installed everything automatically.
What 3ds max you use ?
For mr error, you should open AWShaders.mi in mentalray\shaders_autoload\include folder, and
change version tag to version 1

Here, I have checked all the AWShaders.mi that are included in installers and they all have correct version.

I use 64bit Max 2010.
You say I need to change the version tag to 1
How do I do this?
