FFX 1.2 installation
#1
Hi guys, I've got two questions:
- why does TP plugin install to the Optional folder - I had to manually copy it to FumeFx folder for it to load in Max?
- what are the new files regarding MR support?
I'm trying to make a install package for our mashines, but when I install through copying I get ".../FumeFX_MR.dlt" failed to initialize. Error 126 - module not found.
I found one additional file in mr/shaders_autoload/shaders/FumeFXmr.dll and copied that too but still no go Sad

Anything else that you added for MR and I missed?

I am also having problems installing the TP plugin on Vista/XP x64 and Max 2009 x64..

The plugin does not load by default, and if I copy the FumeFX_TP.dlo from the Optional folder to the Afterworks/FumeFX folder or my main plugins folder, I get this error message:

DLL Failed to initialize. Error code 126 - The specified module could not be found.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated Smile

EDIT - I just found the solution on CG Fluids (thx jrandom!):

Following needs to be manually added to the plugin.ini file:

[Directories]
FumeFX TP=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2009\plugins\Afterworks\Optional\

Well yeah but why do I have to do it manually.

By the way: copying the file to FumeFx dir worked for me :o

These are new installers and it seems there is a bug in them.
I am fixing them, so that TP dlo is installed to /FumeFX folder as there is no need for one extra folder.

New installers will be up in 2 hrs.

Thank you.

To anyone interested, the new files are:
awcomp in 3dsmax main dir
and awshader in mentalray/shaders_autoload/shaders/ and /include
