Odd flicker in flame
#1
I have an odd flicker in a single flame I'm doing. It seems to show up very significantly when I increase the number of steps in the simulation. Theres no other dynamics in the sim.

There no turbulence, no burn rate variation, no vorticity. Temperature and fuel are constant. No velocity dampening.

The only odd item is Heat production is very high.

At more than one step, I see a regular pulse through the sim, almost as if the expansion rate is changing. Anyone have some thoughts what's could be causing this? Does heat production have some sort of built in turbulence?

Hi, It could be caused by fluid mapping.
Do you have different fluid mapping textures for fire and smoke?
Try with assigning exactly same noise texture for fire and smoke then render.
I had a similar problem.
