After going through the forum it seems a new version of DS is comming. Just out of curiosity: is it? is it? is it?

It's in the development, but I'm affraid that it's still long ( 6+ months) time until release. Some features are already done, but there is still many things to do.

Will these updates of Dreamscape (and Afterburn) be compatible with the Mental Ray renderer ?

Mental Ray compatibility is mostly on Autodesk side.
If they make this possible, our plug-ins will suport mr.
