Sorry, that last post was mine, the forum and member area is doing strange things with my login...I have to keep re-logging in to the forum and it returns me back to the members area?

BTW way to answer my own question, position memory work on my laptop but not on my workstation, must have something to do with Nvidia's desktop management.

You need to login to the members area first and then to forum. We plan to switch to asp forum (this is a php), so that we can integrate user database with forum database so that registered users will need to login only once.

As for the FumeFX windows - both floater window and preview window keep their position internally during a session. When 3ds max is closed, that information is lost.
