Hey all,
So I've come across a problem with FumeFX.
I have a smoke simulation that runs fine until it hits 2gb of memory usage, then it crashes. The problem is, I have WAY more than 2gb of memory in my system. :oops:
Specs:
3DS 2009 32bit
Vista 64bit
8gb RAM
So what gives? I clearly am not running out of RAM... Does anyone have any experience with this issue? Any advice would be appreciated.

hehehe..
the first line is your probleme..
Apps that are 32 bit are no good for ram.. so use 64 bit max you should be fine.
If its not locked by the OS , its locked by the App!

If you don't wanna install a 64 bit system you can get a bit more ram usage with the 3GB Switch. Just type "3GB Switch" in Goolge and you will find a way how to do this. Then you should be able to run a Programm with 3GB. For more you need 64bit OS and 64 bit version of the software as Rif said...
