Allan McKay announced that his new Training DVD will be released soon from Turbosquid.

I'm looking daily at Turbosquid for the release... Wink

I would say this Topic can be used as a source collector for Training Stuff for Fume.

So here isw the Stuff that I know:

- Fume FX Essentials by Allan McKay distributed by Turbosquid. I hate the search function from them so here is a direct link.

I like his style but the DVD covers only basic Stuff. For somebody how is new to Fume I can recommend it. Shure there are all Files on DVD.

- Sitni Sati Customer Area are also a few Tutorials and some test scenes. But also very basic but with some nice results.

- CGFluids.com - its not Training material but is an great Forum. It's only for registered Users...

So add more Stuff if you know more...

Re: Fume Training - amckay - 03-20-2009

Thanks for the mention x-tazy, yeah its finally out! I poured my heart and soul into this one to make it the best DVD it can be, the first DVD was more aimed at the basics of fluids and more the fundamentals whereas this is aimed more at use in film production and on a more high end scale

You can grab Fume FX Advanced here: http://www.allanmckay.com/FFXDVD2.html

There is over 24 hours of training material on working on actual shots both pre-planning through to rendering and compositing etc. It's been great to see the Fume FX Essentials DVD has made its way into a lot of major studios, even bigger Maya and Houdini studios studios like Rhythm and Hues have been referencing it for some of their work which is awesome!
I will also be releasing a bunch of new tutorials in the coming weeks once I wrap up a few projects, I've had my head in the sand the last 6 months so I haven't had much of a chance to really post much out to the community.

Looks like everyone's doing amazing stuff on the FX front lately! If anyone's in Germany I'll be speaking at FMX 5th of May in Stuttgart and then in Netherlands end of May (29th-30th) at the end user event, be great to meet a few of you!

Cheers guys,

Allan
