Instancing FFX entries - Steve Green - 12-13-2008 Hi, I was wondering if there's any way to duplicate FFX entries once they've been simulated, if for example you wanted some nice, but non-interacting smoke and didn't want a huge simulation grid - then you could offset the animation and overlap them? Thanks, Steve Re: Instancing FFX entries - Jordan - 12-16-2008 Cant you just copy the grid and use the playback start time to change the offset? Re: Instancing FFX entries - Steve Green - 12-16-2008 Hi, I could have sworn that I'd tried it and it didn't duplicate in the render - but it works just fine now. Must be going crazy... Cheers Steve Re: Instancing FFX entries - Jordan - 12-16-2008 I have heard of people having problems doing that too. I haven't ever had a problem though Re: Instancing FFX entries - sitnisati - 12-23-2008 Hello, We've fixed a bug in FumeFX 1.2 (available inside members area) that sometimes caused identical grids that point to the same cache not to load data. Now, this should work fine. Regards, Kresimir |
