Why do FFX and Max crash when I simulate, I have 4gb of ram installed, and the simulation says that ram usage will be approx 740mb.
I think it should be enough to do the simulation, am I doing something wrong is there some settings I have missed?

few questions :
Are you on Windows 64 bit or windows 32 bit ?
Are you on a Max version 64 bit or 32 bit ?

Sorry I have 32bit system.
So windows is just using 3.25gb of ram.

thats the reason.. 3gig switch can help but you will hit a probleme on 32 bit windows.. i highly suggest you to use 64 bit infrastructure..
